EXperience without judgement.

Traditional talking therapies can sometimes feel intense for children and young people, particularly those who struggle or are reluctant to articulate the difficulties they are facing. Horse-led learning provides a confidential and safe space in which clients can gently reflect on how they are feeling. If and when the client feels comfortable enough to share personal details, the sessions offer a secure and supportive environment in which to do so.

Horse-led learning activities are specifically designed and the sessions are structured to meet the needs of each individual. The pace of the sessions is determined by the client and the speed with which they are processing what they are learning. While the clients are asked to participate in certain exercises, successful completion of these exercises is not essential. The process of "doing" is a far more valuable experience. The Wind Horse approach is flexible, adding to or adapting an activity depending on the client's experience.

This type of non-judgemental learning environment allows children and young people the freedom and confidence to express themselves and begin to understand what they are feeling. Through observing and spending time with horses, the sessions help young people to better understand their own behaviour and the effect it has on others, as well as understanding the behaviour of those around them. The sessions create a relaxed learning environment, providing the opportunity to increase self awareness and discover how to manage emotions.

Find the freedom and confidence to express yourself!
